When you select the suitable visa for your Dubai visit and submit an application, you will be assigned a unique Application No. Your Dubai visa application will typically be processed in three to four working days.
However, if you want to know how to check Dubai visa status , you can do so through your service provider or online by visiting the website of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs - Dubai (GDRFA – Dubai).
The GDRFA, a division of the UAE's Ministry of Interior, is responsible for effectively controlling the entry and exit procedures of visitors to the UAE via air, land and sea routes. So, after submitting your visa application, you can conduct a Dubai visa check. If your application is approved or denied, the United Arab Emirates Immigration Department will notify you via email.

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) of the UAE government handle all Dubai visa inquiries and rules regarding your visa status.
If you live in Dubai and want to know how to check Dubai visa status, go to the GDRFA website: Visit the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs' website.
1- From the dropdown menu, select the Residence Validity option. 2- Enter your Residence Visa File Number in this field. The residence file number can be found on your passport's visa page. 3- Fill in your full name as it appears on your passport. 4- Select your gender. 5- Enter Your Date of Birth Correctly: Please enter your date of birth correctly. 6- Check the box next to Captcha. 7- Click the submit button.
Finally, the results include a green tick with your visa information. There is no need to log in or sign up if you want to know how to check your UAE visa status.
How Do You Check Your UAE Visa Status Using Your Receipt Or Reference Number?
You will need the application number and the reference number to check the status of your United Arab Emirates visa application.

But don't worry; you don't need to bring your original passport or a hard copy of it to check the status of your UAE visa. The super-smart and efficient way is to keep a scanned or soft copy of your passport on your phone/device. Having a softcopy of your passport will come in handy when you need to check your visa status or validity.
