Dubai International Airport is the United Arab Emirates' largest and busiest
airport. The airport serves over 90 million passengers per year, making it one
of the busiest in the world. The airport is in Al Garhoud, an older part of
Dubai, close to Dubai Creek and the old town of Deira.
Dubai International Airport has three terminals. Terminals 1 and 3 are
linked, and passengers can move terminals by foot or rail system without having
to go through security again. Terminal 2 is separate from the other two but is
accessible via shuttle buses, which take about 20 to 30 minutes depending on
whether you leave from Terminal 1 or Terminal 3. There is also the Executive
Flight Terminal, which is located next to Terminal 2. It serves as a hub for
high-end and premium travelers
If you have a connecting flight, look up which terminal your flight will
arrive and depart from to ensure you have enough time to move from terminal to
terminal. Emirates mainly operates from Terminal 3 in Concourse A and can
accommodate over 19 million passengers. Terminal 1 has three floors and
approximately 60 international carriers, whereas Terminal 2 primarily operates
flights to and from Gulf
Cooperation Council countries (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, the
United Arab Emirates, and Qatar).
